Didn't need for son's college class after all so returned no problem, thanks.
Better than expected. I ordered the book from on Black Friday, and it was immediately shipped. The book was delivered to my mail box on 12/01/09. Excellent reference handbook for writing aficionados. If you are looking for a good Christmas present for a college bound friend, consider buying this book. I like the spiral bound because it is very easy to navigate from page to page.
I bought this text book for my Dual Enrollment English 1010 class, and it was sufficient enough, considering the cheap price. The book I received was in pretty decent condition with no ripped/missing pages. The spiral bind was a nice touch as well.
It is too expensive. I had to buy it for my college class, but the price was ridiculous. A little paper back book with a spiral spine was almost $40. Don't get me wrong, the book is great because it tells you everything you need to know about English and MLA, i just like to find a deal.
Book was in good condition, but the content is not very helpful. I should've just spent the extra money and got the Diana Hacker MLA guide instead.
I'm in my mid-50's attending college for the first time. My Comp I instructor recommended this book and it's been a life-saver. I love all the different categories and considerations. It makes for a quick, simple and reliable reference. I keep it next to me whenever I'm doing homework of any type. I use Post-It self-stick tabs to write on for quick references.
Did not come with course codes which were necessary for my class, the reason for buying it. Information available for free @ Perdue owl
