A good last day in a world hard to leave.

This is a prequel of sorts to the Mae Martin series. It can be read as a stand alone. However, it does set the foundation for "The Calling", the first full Mae Martin Mystery. As usual, the author sets a stellar table, and if you have read any of the series, this story is as soft and warm as an old shirt.
Not much to it. But then it's a short story so that is as expected. A pleasant little character story about a oman who knows she is dying and wants to say goodbye without making a scene. Kinda new-agey in feel but not preachy.
since it's free, its definitely worth the time to read it.
I'll rate it at 10 out of 15.
What a great short story! I felt like I really "got" these characters, and was immediately intrigued with the story. I'm looking forward to reading one of books now!
I liked imagining what I would do if I knew how long I had to live. This little story captures such peace and acceptance in how the main character chooses to live her life.
I loved it! Shows the mother daughter relationship where the daughter did not want to believe in her mother's gift. Makes you really think about our remaining life when measured in Heartbeats. I really enjoyed reading this book and will be getting more books by this author!
