Gorilla shifter, Win Carlson, would love to find his soulmate, the one female on Earth perfect for him. Thanks to the VIP Tour tickets that the Amazing Adventures Safari Park sent out to eligible females in the area, he is seeing a lot of females on the weekends. But none of them are his soulmate, and he’s finding it hard not to get discouraged.
Curvy baker, Alexandra Flynn, has won awards for her banana cream pie, but her dream is to have her own bakery. Nothing would make her happier than having a place to call her own, except maybe finding a man to spend the rest of her life with. After winning first place for dessert at the county fair, her car breaks down and she’s stranded on the side of the road. To her surprise, a big, sexy guy stops and offers to repair her car. Unwilling to let their night be over before it even starts, she invites him back to her home, hoping to spend time with him.
When Win is awoken the next morning to Lexy’s panicked screams, he realizes that she’s seeing him in his shifted form. When he shifts to human and convinces her to give him a chance, he takes her home to the zoo and shares everything with her. Lexy never believed in love at first sight until she laid eyes on the sexy mechanic, and she can’t imagine ever leaving his side, even though it means giving up her plans for the future. Win won’t let Lexy’s dreams die just because she’s his soulmate, and he plans to make sure that their life together is just as sweet as her delicious banana cream pie.

This is an OK addition to the Were Zoo series, with a likeable couple. I like the whole idea for the series, that of a group of shifters living in and running a safari park.I do have one problem with all the stories in the series, though, and it is a big one. It is not right to expect the human mates to give up everything and everyone in their lives to move to the zoo. If my husband had demanded that of me, it would have ended our relationship -- it is OK to ask for that, but NOT OK to expect it.
All of the human mates in the series so far have been able to find jobs in the zoo, but they still have to lie to their families and friends. And there is no way the zoo would be able to provide a satisfactory job for every mate -- what about lawyers, public school teachers, realtors, politicians, accountants, or so many other professions?
This big problem with the plot line keeps me from giving this story more than 3 stars. The author needs to come up with a better way to handle the secrecy of the shifters, without sacrificing the families and personal goals of the human mates.

Win is a gorilla shifter hoping to meet his true mate. But so far he's had no luck. Until one evening he finds baker Lexy, needing help on the side of the road. And she smells like bananas. They are the perfect pair, both are delightful, happy characters who together are even sweeter, once Lexy gets past the whole him changing into a gorilla thing. As Win endeavors to get Lexy the bakery of her dreams, together they find happiness. A sweet, short and sincere love story.
This book has no substance, it’s basically just a plot point for the next ones. Half of a sex scene in the entire thing, that’s it. Seriously. Just skip along to something else. Don’t pay $3 for 30 pages of nothing. Looking at the cover is the only excitement this book will ever offer you. How any publisher spent the hour (if that) it takes to read this and thought “Yeah, this is what the people want! Cliches and a bunch of foreshadowing without real resolutions! Great!” I should have listened to the other bad reviews, and didn’t. The female protagonist literally just drops her entire hopes, dreams, future in about 10 seconds. It’s not seriously discussed or even really dealt with, unless you count why in God’s name a Safari park has an old candy store inside of it. Even for a fictitious book about hot men who can change into animals, the amount of convenience is ridiculous. Oh, and you never hear from the female lead about any of these problems, by the way, all of them are only seen from Win’s perspective. A pox on this book and everyone that approved it.
I beginning to really love the were zoo series. In this book we meet Win, longing for a mate of his own. Low and behold she appears, stranded on the side of the road after her tyre blows out. Lexy takes one look and falls head over heels and takes him home. Unfortunately she wakes to a very large gorilla in her bed. Win was gonna tell her, just much, much later. After she discovers his shifter, she has some tough decisions to make. This book was sweet and funny, and very likeable. A very fun read
The third book in this wonderfully sweet little series continues with Win a gorilla shifter finding out the broken down car with a flat tire holds his mate. A new situation arises from their meeting outside of the zoo which will yet again change protocols for the shifters. It's a sweet Insta love mating but full of heartwarming and steamy scenes. I had to come on here and gripe and warn. I got frustrated before I even started reading chapter 1. The introduction to this book was like a spoiler unlike the last 2 in the series that were just solid introductions. I like to know as little as possible so it doesn't ruin the story. Telling the reader the details of how they meet and the next morning! I like to read books that's why I purchased. Having the whole storyline spoiled within the first 2 pages wasn't what I was expecting. I do enjoy this series don't get me wrong but oh man that sucked!
This series is very good in the story line of how Shifters are trying to find their mates.
In this book instead of finding his mate in 1 of the tours that go through the park he finds her on the side of the road with a flat tire.
Lexus has just won 1st place in a pie competition & was on her way home when her car got a flat tire. After calling for someone to come & fix it she sees a falling star & makes a wish for someone to find her faster than the tow truck person & her wish comes true. But, she also finds herself a soulmate too.
This is the beginning of Win & Alexandra’s story.
This is the third in the zoo series. Unlike the other shifters Win found his mate with a flat on the side of the road. Alexandra or Lexy as she likes to be called was returning from a pie making competition where she won first place with her banana cream pie. When Win and his friends stop to help her Win realizes she is his fated mate. She is very attracted to Win and invites him home for coffee. It progresses from there and in the morning Win wakes up to her screaming because he had shifted to his Gorilla form. He must sooth her and explain things. I really have loved all 3 of the books so far and have per-ordered the 4th book. It is a sweet and funny story with a happy ever after ending.
