RMS Titanic was a passenger liner that struck an iceberg on her maiden voyage from Southampton, England, to New York City, and sank on 15 April 1912, resulting in the deaths of 1,517 people in one of the deadliest peacetime maritime disasters in history.
Filson Young was a influential journalist and writer. He had visited Belfast in the summer of 1911 to see the Titanic under construction and following the Titanic disaster went to Southampton to see her sister ship Olympic leave for America. He walked around on board and understood the feeling of unsinkability that had given such false confidence to the passengers and crew aboard the Titanic. He wrote many popular books including The Trial of Hawley Harvey Crippen.

The book is ok but it actually has very few "illustrations" that havent already been seen. Its also very much like reading litrature when what your led to believe is that its more technical than it turns out to be. There is much more useful information out there that has already been published and can be used as a continued reference. Look for something else.Product details
